Should You Drive on a Flat?
Almost never. Rolling even a short distance on a deflated tire shreds the sidewall and can chew up the wheel itself, turning a cheap patch into a new tire and rim. The bigger risk is control: a blown front tire pulls the car hard toward the shoulder, and on a road like the Route 58 bypass that's a genuine hazard. The safer move is to pull over, put your hazards on, and let us come to you. If your spare is a compact "donut," we'll mount it and remind you it's only good for a slow, short trip to a tire shop.
